Perkins, the reigning world silver medalist in 50 fly, will be seeking to blow apart the field in the 100 fly, while Allan, who was close to qualifying for the team in the 50 back, will be aiming to better his time in the 100 back. The highly anticipated debut of Kyle Chalmers in the 100 fly will be a highlight, but he faces stiff competition from Matthew Temple and Ben Armbruster. The women's 100 breaststroke saw a battle of the 17-year-olds, with Sienna Toohey and Lily Koch going neck and neck until Toohey used a great finishing lunge to take the win. The men's 100 butterfly is set to be a barnburner, with three swimmers cracking the 800 point barrier.
